I asked him about the out of the box sharpness. I have one Global's chef knife which has got to be close to 10yrs now. He said it was scary sharp and certainly didn't need sharpening.

I've had this knife for a lil over a year now. The blade itself isn't discoloring but the handle is starting to oxidize. Why? and is there a warranty? none
